How does Glow Flow calculate Vitamin D?
We estimate Vitamin D production based on your UV exposure, session duration, Fitzpatrick skin type, clothing coverage, and elevation. It's an estimate — not medical advice.
Why does the app need my location?
Location is used to fetch your local UV index and elevation. We don't store or share your location data.
Does Glow Flow work offline?
UV data requires an internet connection to fetch from Apple's WeatherKit. Tan recording works offline once you have a UV reading.
How do I save Vitamin D to Apple Health?
After finishing a tan session, tap "Save" when prompted. You'll be asked to grant HealthKit permissions if you haven't already.
What if I close the app during a tan?
Your session is saved automatically. When you reopen the app, it picks up right where you left off.
Privacy
Glow Flow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your location is used solely on-device to fetch weather data. Vitamin D estimates are saved to Apple Health only with your explicit permission. We have no servers, no analytics, and no tracking.
